The search interface I built to the Mark Logic API (see Searching the Mark Logic API function reference with Mark Logic) is now hosted on SourceForge for anyone to download and run locally.
Try it out here: http://api.xqueryhacker.com
It requires Mark Logic Server v4 (community edition is fine, it’s only small). There’s a few steps to the installation, instuctions are in a readme file in the download. Please let me know if there are any problems and I’ll try to help.

Can your recommend a service for hosting MarkLogic? I’m looking into hosting up my Open Source community-edition projects but I don’t know of anywhere that will let me run MarkLogic Server.
The first place I’d check out is Amazon Web Services as MarkLogic have done a lot of work recently to support it and they have a pre-built AMI you can use. But you can install it on pretty much any hosting provider presuming you have root access to your server. I host the API demo (http://api.xqueryhacker.com) on RackSpace Cloud. It’s very cheap, easy to setup and has been 100% reliable – so far.
Hope that helps,
Rob
